Dear Members
I have decided to resign from being the President of the LAA. I find that I can’t come to some of the meetings because of other engagements that I need to attend and also, it does seem to keep clashing with my holiday plans. Some of the members tried to persuade me not to give up the Presidency and I am very sorry to have disappointed them.
I have wanted to resign for a while now but I said I would keep on until a suitable replacement was found. I am delighted to tell you that Mr Brian (Sid) Calderbank has agreed to take on the roll for 12 months then he will decide after that whether or not to stay as President.
I hope you will give him your support and I hope that you, as members, will keep writing. I may come to the meetings from time to time, and I hope to see you then.
I send Sid all my best wishes and hope he has great success in the role.
With Best Wishes from
Lily Driver. |
