STANDING ARRANGEMENTS
These
orders are to satisfy Article 14 of the Constitution (as amended
at the AGM on16th March 2013)
1. BANKING
ARRANGEMENTS
The Treasurer shall keep the Executive Committee aware of the
Association's banking arrangements and particularly
the situation regarding interest rates available. At least once
each year the Treasurer must report
to the Executive Committee whether he considers any revision to
the existing arrangements advisable.
The Association's cheque signatories shall be the Chairman, The
Secretary and the Treasurer any two of
which shall sign each cheque.
2. EXPENSES
AUTHORISATION
All payments made by the Treasurer shall be supported by
vouchers. All items in excess of £50
(with the exception
of those of a regularly recurring nature) shall be specifically
authorised in advance of the expense
being incurred, by the Chairman and the Secretary jointly.
3. LADY
HULTON AWARD
In the event of the Association being permanently disbanded (see
6 below)
any balance then standing to the
credit of the Lady Hulton Award Fund shall be donated to The
Alzheimer's Society or, if such body then
ceases to exist, to some like Charity primarily concerned with
the Alzheimer's disease.
4. COMPETITION
ADJUDICATORS
A list shall be maintained of those who have agreed to be
included on the Association's panel. The Executive
Committee will keep the list under review and consider any
suggestions for new inclusions or deletions.
The Competitions Secretary shall be free to select from the list
whichever he/she considers appropriate
for any competition.
5. PROXY
VOTING
Any member shall be entitled to appoint any other member to act
as his 'her proxy at any Annual General Meeting
of the Association and to vote as directed. The Secretary shall
be notified in writing of any such arrangement by the member
granting the proxy.
6. PERMANENT
DISBANDMENT OF THE ASSOCIATION
In the event of the Association appearing to be in a position
where its active existence is becoming seriously
doubtful a Special Committee shall be formed to consider as a
matter of urgency the steps required to be taken. In
the event of the association being wound up its assets shall be
realised and any sum remaining after settlement of all
outstanding liabilities shall be donated to a charity or
organisation chosen by the membership.
